What is

Reduces localized pockets of fat and skin in the upper arm region.

Before the intervention

Get lab testing or a medical evaluation.

Stop smoking.

Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements as they can increase bleeding

The surgery

The incision length during arm lift surgery depend on the amount and location of excess skin to be removed.

Lifting arms

Incisions are generally placed on the inside of the arm or on the back of the arm and may extend from the underarm. Excess fat may be directly excised or treated with liposuction.

Anesthesia is general.

The duration of the intervention is 1 to 2 hours.

After the surgery

It’s important that the surgical incisions are not subjected to excessive force, swelling, abrasion, or motion during the time of healing.

Results

The smoother contours that result from arm lift surgery are apparent almost immediately following the intervention. Initial results will be obscured by swelling and bruising, and a scar will remain where the incision was made.
